Be Everything uses a third-party, web-based platform to record interviews from contributors. Here are some tips to help you prepare and complete your recording. You will have a chance to review your interview responses before submitting them.
How to Prepare

Display
If you are recording on a mobile device, ensure it remains still throughout the interview by placing it on a stationary surface at the angle you prefer.

Check your background to be sure nothing is included you prefer to not have in the interview, for example, other people and private information.

Position yourself and/or your device to light your face well, the light should not be too harsh or too dark, and to minimize glares on the lens.
Audio
Record your interview in a quiet space with few interruptions and minimal background noise.

Test your microphone prior to recording your interview so that you’re able to adjust your speaking volume and/or distance from the recording device before beginning.
Pro Tips
Position your device 3 feet, or 1 meter, away from you. The app crops and zooms in slightly. The final recording will appear closer than what you observe on the platform.

Mobile devices often produce higher quality recording when positioned horizontally rather than vertically.

Silence or temporarily disable notifications and alerts on your recording device.
FAQs
Does what I’m wearing matter?
When it comes to appearance, where what makes you comfortable. If possible, avoid wearing headphones, earphones, or headsets.
What if I make a mistake during the recording?
It's okay. You can record as many times as you like. You will be able to review your responses before completing the submission.
What if I change my mind and don’t want my response shared?
The video can be removed from featured material on the Be Everything website. To have your interview removed from the website, email contact@beeverything.com.
Is anything prohibited in the interview?
No. We encourage and welcome free expression in all interviews. However, any content that contains harmful behavior, or encourages harmful behavior (e.g. abuse, possession of a dangerous weapon, use of drugs, cyberbullying, and etc.) will not be featured on Be Everything platforms.
How long is the wait before I see my final video?
Encourage Our team works diligently to review, edit, and share interviews quickly. You can expect your interview to be available within 3 weeks after submission. Our team will notify you when it’s available.
Can other people or loved ones be featured in my response?
The Be Everything interview format generally includes one interview subject, but we encourage conducting your interview in the way that you believe best represents you. If that means including others in your interview, please do.
